Affiliate Programs - Why You Need a Money Making Site

A lot of people make the mistake of using the URL an affiliate programs offers them when they initially signed up. If you are one of those, then you are the architect of your own failure. If you are not earning money online from your affiliate program then perhaps it’s time to try other ways. Truth is some system will never work because there have been a lot of mistakes from the start.

Am not trying to be a genius but am talking out of experience. I was involved with an affiliate program that offers me a gate way site, that kind of site that has affiliate ID at the end to identify me as the refer. The program actually provides extensive marketing program, I did all I was told and only made $37.89 in eleven months, I was luck compared to others. Each time I want to give up, the testimonial on the program’s homepage keeps telling me to keep trying.

Lucky enough I was performing a search on the search engine for another business opportunity when I came across a site that is own by an affiliate of the same program I was involve with. I did a little research and realize that the affiliate was a platinum team leader (PTL) that is, the highest rank on the program, and was earning over $10,000 monthly from that program and he still have other business opportunities featured on his site. I contacted him and he was ready to reveal his secrets to me.

To cut long story short, I was enlighten on the importance of owning a money making site. You can see the difference, he was actually living a life of luxury while I was living in abject poverty yet we are involved in the same affiliate program.

I would have ended up believing that making money online is not possible or that affiliate marketing program does not work.

Like it or not, affiliate program involves online marketing and a personal website hosted on our name would give our marketing effort a big lift. We still need to pre-sell, blog, build list, do SEO and so on.
